Nurse Educator | Clinical Education

You’ll lead our Nurse Residency Program, focusing on evidence-based curriculum development, clinical competence validation, and organizational outcomes. What You’ll Be Doing:

• Program Leadership: Design, implement, and facilitate an evidence-based curriculum for the Nurse Residency Program. Validate clinical competence of nurse residents and evaluate program effectiveness.
• Collaboration: Partner with organizational leaders and local undergraduate nursing programs to enhance program outcomes and establish strong community relationships.
• Recruitment and Placement: Conduct preliminary interviews, panel sessions, and make recommendations for nurse resident placements within nursing units.
• Support and Development: Cultivate a supportive environment for new nurses, promote professional growth opportunities, and conduct ongoing learning needs assessments.
• Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours, including internal and external disasters.

• Compliance and Attendance: Adhere to hospital and department Ethics and Compliance programs, detect and report compliance variances, and maintain regular and predictable attendance.

What You’ll Bring:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Adult Education, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Licensure: Current RN license in Ohio.
• Experience: Minimum of five years of nursing experience required, with two to three years of education or leadership experience preferred.
• Certifications: American Heart Association BLS required; ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire. Instructor certification in at least two out of three (BLS, ACLS, and PALS) required within one year of hire.
• Continuous Learning: Complete 24 contact hours of approved CE every two years as per Ohio Board of Nursing requirements and maintain continuous certification in relevant areas.
