What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietitian - Clinical Dietitians - Days - FT position at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport?
Provides nutritional consultative services to patients.
Required Qualifications:
Education: BS degree in Dietetics and Nutrition from an AND approved program.
Licensure: Must have and maintain current National Registry or Registry eligible and successfully complete registry exam within six months of hire. Must have and maintain current Mississippi Professional Dietitians license.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
The Clinical Dietitian is reponsible for the planning and implementation of Medical Nutrition Therapy for Acute Care Patients.
Evaluates and assesses nutritional status of high-risk patients according to department policies and established standards of care.
Calculates Nutritional requirements and diet restrictions as indicated.
Establishes Nutrition care plan by applying critical thinking and effectively communicates professional judgement to heathcare team.
Monitors and evaluates effectiveness of care plan and adjust as needed.
Educates and counsels patients and care givers on Medical Nutrition Therapy.
Demonstrates compliance with and support for the Core Principles and Code of Conduct.
Participates as a team member to help achieve clinical goals, clinical measures and customer satisfaction.
Complies with all regulatory standards to include federal, state, and accrediting agencies while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPPA regulations, and patient rights policies.
