Description
Merrell Bros, Inc., a national biosolids management company, is currently seeking an innovative Systems Application Engineer to join our team. The Systems Application Engineer will support the technical analyses of client requirements and assure quality standards are met or exceeded as they manage the project from beginning to end.
Due to the unique nature of the biosolids industry, the ideal candidate will possess a variety of the following skills and responsibilities:
- Accompany salespeople on calls to learn about equipment and industry
- Support the sales process by providing drawings or historical examples of past projects
- Review specifications and order equipment
- Communicate with customers to organize details and support projects
- Review project specifications and requirements for equipment, instrumentation, and piping
- Work closely with the sales team to provide technical calculations and ensure all aspects of the sales process are reviewed thoroughly.
- Assemble technical evaluation reports and presentations for both internal and external audiences.
- Compile project closeout documentation for equipment, such as operation and maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, and other supporting documentation
- Provide customer support and resolve problems with installed equipment
- Travel to customer sites as needed
- Work as a technical liaison between engineering and sales to ensure timelines are met and revenue goals are achieved in an efficient and profitable manner
- Assist with research and development of new products and services
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- B.S/A.S in Engineering or Business field with technical experience
- In-depth knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, operations, and equipment for municipal and industrial applications.
- 2 years’ experience designing, operating, and evaluating wastewater processes
- 3 years’ experience in client relations roles, proficient in providing technical support
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, CAD, Visio, Adobe, and other software tools as needed.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed
- Strong organizational and time management skills
