This position is located at our Freedom Drive office.
Clinical care delivery to a transplant patient population of up to 1,600 patients with the potential of expansion following best practice post-transplant care guidelines. Work directly with 5 transplant nephrologists and 4 transplant advanced practitioners.
This includes the following duties, but not limited to:
- Completes lab order entry and lab reconciliation.
- Prepare for daily clinics.
- Demonstrates Basic Assessment Skills.
- Manage and prioritize incoming and outgoing phone calls.
- Able to administer Intradermal, IM, IV, and subcutaneous Injections.
- Perform precise venous and capillary phlebotomy.
- Manage prescription refills according to practice policy.
- Schedule outside procedures.
- Arrange Hospital Admissions.
- Processes tasks w/ MD orders and patient care instructions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of professional nursing experience; Med-Surg or ER experience preferred.
- Knowledge of nursing processes; health care systems, structure, and community resources.
- Familiarity with state law on nursing care, nursing guidelines, and clinic policies and procedures.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, EMR’s, Outlook. Competent in Learning Management Systems.
- Must hold a current and valid North Carolina LPN/RN License.
- Current CPR certificate.
- Possesses confidence and skills to deal directly with and influence the staff.
- Customer service focused and responsive to customer’s needs, energetic, respects confidentiality, proactive and able to work independently.
