THE JOB:
It is the responsibility of the Painter to perform maintenance and repairs, performing the duties of combination painter in all phases of painting and wall covering on all areas of the property.
THE STARTING RATE: $33.40
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Perform routine to complex maintenance and repair work on painted and papered surfaces and systems throughout the property, responsible for completion of all jobs assigned
- Operate power and hand tools to complete job assignments in a timely manner; to include ability to operate conventional and/or airless spray equipment as required
- Prepare surface to be painted, paint and install wall covering, adjust paint to proper color as necessary, patch, tape and texture and acoustic as necessary
- Work under minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Keep informed and updated on current technical methods
- Maintain constant awareness of personal and property cleanliness, safety, and accident prevention, able to wear/use personal protective equipment (p.p.e.)
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
3 Years of prior Painting experience in a commercial setting
Knowledgeable of all paints and wall coverings
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
Ability to work under pressure
Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills
Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards
