MidAtlantic Finance is looking for an Accounting Intern with good administrative skills to provide support to the Accounting Department while overseeing the lobby and front reception area in our Clearwater office located on Ulmerton Road. You will gain hands-on experience in a compliance driven environment. This role is designed for students and grads alike seeking practical exposure to accounts payable, payment processing and month-end accounting processing. Pay rate is up to $18 an hour to start based on relevent experience.

- Work Mon - Fri 8:30am - 5:30pm, some overtime at end of month
What You'll Do:
- Welcome all on-site visitors via intercom to our secure site
- Answer/Transfer incoming telephone calls
- Answer questions and provide accurate information about the organization
- Assist and ensure the accurate and timely processing of payments, lock box and positive pay transactions
- Assist with accounts payable and receivables and ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Receive/sort/route all incoming mail
- Assist with assorted clerical tasks such as filing, copying, and scanning
- Balance cash drawer at end of day
- Additional accounting tasks as needed

- Self-motivated with strong work ethic and able to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in challenging situations
- Adept at working in a fast-paced environment while meeting daily deadlines
