What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual EDT Clinican position at Mid-Fairfield Child Guidance Center?
Description of Position:
Clinician provides therapeutic services to Prospects children and families. He/she also works as a member of an interdisciplinary team in order to provide milieu based treatment to children with psychiatric, social, emotional and behavioral issues.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree or higher from an accredited school of Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling or Psychology Program.
- Current Connecticut state license or license eligible.
- Experience working with children and families and crisis assessment skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carries a clinical caseload of 8-10 families.
- Coordinates intake process and discharge.
- Provides crisis intervention/assessments.
- Facilitates individual/family/multi-family and group therapy.
- Attends psychiatric evaluation and medication management appointments with psychiatry team for clients on caseload.
- Participates in interdisciplinary treatment plan review meetings and rounds.
- Effectively collaborates with all providers, including school personnel and attends relevant meetings (i.e. PPT, 504) as needed.
- Participates in all internal and external meetings as scheduled.
- Maintain all necessary electronic health records and scheduling requirements in accordance with agency requirements, Federal and State standards and insurance guidelines.
- Participates in after hours on-call (telephone consult only) rotation at a rate of approximately one time every 7-10 weeks.
- Provision of supervision to assigned Direct Care Workers.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
Reporting Relationships:
This position reports to the supervisor named in the letter of appointment, and is accountable to this supervisor for the performance of all professional activities at the Center. The Clinician is a member of the interdisciplinary team.
