What are the responsibilities and job description for the Non-Credit Instructor - Film Academy position at Middlesex College?
The Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Department at Middlesex College invites applications for a part-time, non-credit instructors to teach the following courses:
- Script to Screen: Introduction to the Entertainment Industry
- Introduction to Production Office: Production Coordinating and Management
- Introduction to Production Accounting for Film and Television
- Introduction to Location Management
- Introduction to Set Construction, Scenic Painting, and Set Dressing
- Introduction to Hair and Makeup for Film and Television
- Introduction to Set Lighting and the Electric Department
- Costuming for Film and Television
- Grip and Rigging for Film and Television
Important: Please note that a non-credit instructor is not an adjunct position. Successful candidates teach courses in the Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts (or significant relevant industry experience)
- Academic and/or practical experience in an art discipline relating to Film and Television
- Previous teaching experience
- Experience teaching adult learners
- Ability to teach evenings, weekends, or days in Edison, New Brunswick, or Perth Amboy
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree in Fine Arts
- Teaching and/or experience in the field preferred
- Experience teaching in higher education
