What are the responsibilities and job description for the Non-Credit Instructor - Medical Assistant position at MIDDLESEX COLLEGE?
The Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Department at Middlesex College invites applications for a part-time, non-credit Medical Assistant instructor during the 2023-2024 Academic Year.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILTIES: The ability to teach a full-time, non-credit Medical Assistant Certificate Program which includes the following:
- Anatomy, Physiology and Medical Terminology
- Pharmacology for Healthcare Providers
- Clinical Procedures
- Healthcare Office Procedures to include, Medisoft, and
- Career Preparation.
The Instructor must be able to maintain discipline and safety in the classroom. In addition, the Instructor must ensure that the facilities are properly maintained and all administrative requirements are completed in a timely manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least two years or more of experience as a working Medical Assistant or as the immediate supervisor of a Medical Assistant.
- One year of experience teaching adults in the allied health career field
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant or an otherwise licensed healthcare provider, example: LPN
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to provide remote instruction via Zoom should conditions require
- Ability to teach Phlebotomy
- Ability to teach EKG
