Overview
The Business Analyst works to promote a culture of business, support and present the high energy elicitation process for collecting, storing and directing ideas in conjunction with County’s strategic plan. Key facilitator on business programs across the Department; access ideas that come from multiple sources and funnel them to appropriate business areas for execution.
Responsibilities
- Assess Department for cross functional collaboration initiatives and create metrics with key performance indicators to drive outcomes.
- Supports innovation project execution for projects generated through ideation initiatives in conjunction with designation innovation points of contacts across business units, cross-functional resources and leadership.
- Assess innovation ideas and proposals and recommend disposition.
- Assist in planning of innovation events and activities both internally and externally.
- Track and report on metrics around internal innovation activity
- Assist in the implementation of an innovation communication plan in conjunction with Communications’ and Marketing to ensure alignment with County’s strategic plan.
- Proactively anticipate obstacles to progress or areas of concern and aid in identifying potential solutions.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Department teams to ensure best practice innovative solutions and drive implementation efforts.
- Explore service expansion opportunities specifically in development with arts, agriculture and workforce development. Develop metrics to align operational efforts for increased service capacity.
- Facilitate cross departmental innovation initiatives.
- Lead integration efforts on innovative ideas where applicable and opportunities for cross pollination.
- Provide thought leadership and analytical rigor on a range of innovative initiatives.
