Midland is seeking a Patient Experience Expert to join our team in the Oakland Park, FL area. The Patient Experience Expert is responsible for coordinating the patient experience at Midland. This position works closely with the providers and medical liaisons under the direction of the Practice Administrator. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate patient treatment appointments, including triaging inbound calls.
- Addressing patient concerns and escalating issues as needed, ensuring all efforts are made to retain existing patients.
- Conducting pre-visit chart review of patients including insurance verification and demographics, identifying preventive health maintenance and immunizations.
- Maintaining a consistently positive attitude and patient first approach to deliver stellar service to all patients.
- Prepare the medical chart for each patient seeing a provider.
- Check-in patients for appointments, which includes collecting patient copays, coinsurance, deductibles, balance owed.
- Responsible for the management of the providers schedules.
- Identifying value-based patients overdue for visits, labs, or referrals and arranging for follow-up services as appropriate to assist with care gap closure.
- Assisting with general inquiries, making payments, and questions regarding claims.
- Insurance verification of benefits.
- Accounts receivable and maintain petty cash.
- Navigating patients to the approximate department for healthcare needs.
- Maintain patient confidentiality under the HIPAA guidelines.
- Cross trained in other positions.
- Perform all other assigned tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 1-2 years' experience of medical receptionist/ patient scheduling
- 1-2 years' experience of EMR systems
- 1-2 years' experience of customer service

This position requires a AHCA Level 11 background screening that will include finger printing. In addition, an onsite interview lasting approx. 2 hours.
