Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans and providing support to enhance their quality of life. This role requires a strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed professional.
- Conduct patient assessments to evaluate behavioral needs and progress.
- Collect and analyze research data related to client behaviors and treatment outcomes.
- Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including home, school, or community environments.
- Assist in the development of strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to ensure consistency in behavioral strategies across environments.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of special education practices and patient care techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation methods and behavioral health principles.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Previous experience in behavioral therapy or related fields is advantageous but not required.
