Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide direct support to individuals with behavioral health needs, particularly children and those with developmental disabilities. This role is essential in implementing behavior intervention plans and promoting positive behavior changes.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
- Provide direct care and support to children with developmental disabilities, assisting them in daily activities.
- Monitor and document patient progress, ensuring accurate medical documentation and records are maintained.
- Assist in behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to reinforce treatment goals and strategies at home.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral health practices.
Skills
- Strong background in behavioral health, particularly experience working with children.
- Knowledge of special education practices and behavior management techniques.
- Ability to assist individuals with patient care needs effectively.
- Proficient in maintaining medical documentation and records accurately.
- Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
