Position Summary
The Construction Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating project schedules to support construction timelines. This role plays a crucial part in project planning and execution by coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure that project milestones are met. The Construction Scheduler collaborates with project teams, vendors, and contractors to monitor progress, resolve scheduling conflicts, and optimize resource allocation to support timely project completion.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project schedules using industry-standard software to ensure all phases of the construction timeline are achievable.
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and contractors to gather data on progress and adjust schedules as necessary.
- Monitor the project timeline and communicate schedule changes or delays to relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare and distribute detailed progress reports and look-ahead schedules to project teams and senior management.
- Identify and anticipate potential delays, conflicts, or schedule risks, and recommend solutions to maintain the project timeline.
- Maintain updated project records and ensure compliance with all scheduling procedures and standards.
- Assist with coordinating the delivery and allocation of materials, equipment, and workforce according to the project plan.
- Work with project management to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) related to project scheduling.
- Ensure that the project schedule aligns with client and contract requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of project timelines, change orders, and revisions to the master schedule.
- Provide administrative support for scheduling documentation, including timelines, reports, and presentations.
