As a Medical Assistant, you will be directly involved in the care of our patients. You will be responsible for the Patient Experience for each and every patient that walks into your office. You will be assisting in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the Physician, ARNP or PA.
Work schedule: Monday - Friday 7:45am - 5:00pm
Need dual experience in Front Office & MA duties
Responsibilities Include:
- Collecting vitals and medical histories
- Performing EKGs
- Administering Injections
- Entering/Updating data in the electronic health records
- Other tasks required to give the best patient care
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Completed a Medical Assisting Program; experience will be considered in lieu of education
- Certification preferred, but not required
- CPR/BLS certification
Required Skills and Abilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong computer skills and knowledge of EMR systems; Athena knowledge preferred but not required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb and balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
