What are the responsibilities and job description for the Penetrant Trainee position at Miller Castings INC?
Level I Technician will be performing Penetrant inspection process by immersion of castings in accordance to written instructions. Parts are subsequently washed, dried, and developed. Level I Technicians should be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method of Penetrant Inspection process and may exercise guidance from a certified Level II/ Level III.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
- Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
- Pre-clean and process castings per applicable specifications or standards.
- Perform specialized inspections.
- May instruct and supervise others.
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
