Responsibilities:

• Design and Development: Spearhead the design and development process for licensed women's swimwear collections, as well as oversee select private label accounts. From conceptualization to final product, ensure that designs and development align with the brand's vision, aesthetics, and target audience preferences.
• Trend Research: Conduct extensive research on emerging fashion trends, swimwear styles, colors, prints, and materials. Translate these insights into innovative swimwear designs that position our brand at the forefront of the contemporary market.
• Brand Alignment: Ensure that all swimwear designs maintain consistency with the brand's identity, values, and guidelines. Strive for excellence in representing the brand across various licensed collaborations and private label collections.
• Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a small team, providing mentorship, guidance, and direction. With the support of one direct report, manage the design efforts for select private label accounts to ensure cohesive and successful product launches and management of product.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, account management, tech and Asia global teams to understand development demands, product execution needs, and business objectives to drive the success of our licensed swimwear and private label collections.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrate a strong understanding of swimwear construction techniques, fabric properties, and fit requirements. Collaborate with technical design interpretation of designs during the sampling process.
• Sample Review and Approval: Review and provide feedback on prototypes and samples, ensuring they meet design specifications, quality standards, and brand requirements. Approve samples for production and ensure timely completion of development cycles.
• Seasonal Line Planning: Contribute to seasonal line planning by providing creative ideas and insights based on market research, sales analysis, and consumer feedback. Develop assortment plans that cater to various customer segments and target price points, positioning our brand as a contemporary leader.
• Quality Control: Collaborate closely with team to address any issues related to fit, construction, or design. Provide effective solutions to ensure product integrity and customer satisfaction for both licensed and private label swimwear.
• Licensing Partnerships: Collaborate with licensing partners to maintain brand guidelines and design standards, while also exploring opportunities for co-branded collaborations that maximize sales and brand exposure.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Senior Designer or in a similar role, preferably within licensed swimwear and private label accounts.
• Strong portfolio showcasing successful swimwear designs, particularly in the contemporary space.
• Excellent knowledge of swimwear construction techniques, fabric properties, and fit requirements.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Proficiency in 3d software Browzwear a plus
• Ability to stay updated on industry trends, emerging fashion, and swimwear styles.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and inspire a team of designers.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.

Compensation/Benefits:

• The approximate annual base salary range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00 per hour. The offered salary or salary range for this position will vary based on role requirements, skill set and years of experience.
