ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the manufacturing team in a continuous improvement environment.
- Champion Continuous Improvement projects and provides leadership support in the development, implementation, and sustaining of process and cost improvement activities.
- Provide guidance to the manufacturing team on the value of Lean Manufacturing methods and principles.
- Provide leadership and training to insure a safe work environment. Implement and monitor 6-S programs to develop and maintain a clean and healthy work environment.
- Ensure all personnel wear personal protective equipment at all times and that safety procedures are followed to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Serve as a key communications facilitator, coach and counselor for production workers.
- Make appropriate work assignments among department personnel and monitor results.
- Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all equipment in the areas of responsibility.
- Assure that quality and cost requirements are adhered to and that production requirements are met.
- Interface closely with internal customers from a scheduling, parts availability and quality standpoint to assure a smooth flow of production.
- Complete daily administrative responsibilities necessary for MRP system upkeep. To include, job scheduling, completion, receipt and validation of operations.
- Ensure Metrics and data maintained in production cells is accurate, up-to date, and driving change on a consistent basis.
- Develop and train shop floor leads in key production cells. Ensuring their compliance with policies and standards as well as develop understanding of metrics and MRP system requirements.
- Demonstrate alignment with the company values and philosophies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
- Performs activities of workers supervised as needed.
- Has working knowledge of and enforces appropriate quality policies and procedures.
- Follow appropriate quality policies and procedures.
- Practice and participate in Lean activities
- Perform work to appropriate efficiency and utilization standards.
- Participate in work group/team activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and environment.
- Must be a positive and dependable member of the manufacturing group.

- Must provide input to problem solving process and possess good communication skills.
- The work performed in this job can only be done on site and attendance is an essential function of the job.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree and 3 years manufacturing leadership experience required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
The ability to read, speak, and understand English to enable clear communication and comprehension of internal company documentation and with all levels of the team.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic math skills will be required to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Basic understanding of & ability to read performance graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Able to understand and determine product quality to written documentation.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to provide documentation for permanent right to work in the United States
