RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for ensuring additive manufacturing processes meet and customer/industry requirements
- Responsible for handling of sensitive parts and safe powder handling within the additive production process
- Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe work environment, particularly regarding powder and chemical usage
JOB DUTIES
- Load programs, operate, and perform daily maintenance on additive machines
- Hands-on powder handling including sieving, sampling, loading, and cleaning while maintaining traceability of powder and parts
- Full support of all post printing operations: manual material removal, grinding, furnace operation, media blasting
- Complete production parts per operating schedule, and support part flow through process as needed to support business goals for quality and on time delivery metrics
SKILLS
- Preferred: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of additive parts
- Preferred: Knowledge of machines and tools used in additive manufacturing operations
- Preferred: Knowledge of GD&T and measurement tools
- Careful planning, scheduling, and strong general organization to maximize efficiency and productivity
- Excellent and direct communication - both written and oral β with vendors, teammates, and management
- Ability to assess the performance of self, other individuals, or processes to make improvements or take corrective action
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: 1 to 3 years of experience with Additive Manufacturing or a similar manufacturing environment
- Required: Ability to lift 50 lbs and use heavy machinery
- Required: Compliant with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status (ITAR defines "U.S. Person" as a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident)
