Description
Position Summary:
As Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with the Ministry of Caring you would be responsible for the care of residences with HIV/AIDS. You will provide a supportive setting where the primary focus enables the residents to live life to the fullest and live with dignity.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with plan of care.
- Help residents using proper body mechanics, and/or mechanical lifts as directed.
- Gathers, sorts, and distributes personal clothing.
- Provides a safe, comfortable, healthy environment for all residents.
- Work with the registered nurse with treatments as directed.
- Reports medical issues immediately to the nursing staff.
- Accurately records for MAR’s, flow sheets, daily log, and shift report log.
- Other duties needed to help drive our vision, and fulfill our mission, of “The Poor should never be treated poorly”.
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or GED-Required
- Certified nursing assistant (CNA) certification-Required
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, warmth, compassion, genuineness, and positive regard for all residents.
- Must be able to lift minimum of 50 lbs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to effectively manage deadlines.
- Works well under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
