The City of Nisswa is seeking candidates for a full-time Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician performs skilled trades work maintaining buildings, grounds and roads; performs snow plowing; assists with cemetery duties; performs general carpentry, plumbing and custodial work; and assists with wastewater operations. Frequent public contact is involved dealing with a wide variety of city matters. Position is required to work weekends, on-call and after-hour emergencies.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and moderate experience in skilled trades; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and willingness to assist with all types of projects.
Preferred Qualifications: Valid Commercial Class A Driver’s License; Chainsaw safety and operations certification; Snow and ice control best practices certification.
