After School Supervisor- 2025/2026 School Year

Location: Minuteman Regional Vocational School District Hours: 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM (Monday to Friday) Compensation: $25/hour Position Summary: The After-School Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and orderly environment for students during after-school hours. This position involves overseeing students who are waiting for sports practices to start or waiting for late buses, ensuring their safety, and promoting positive behavior. The After-School Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining decorum by actively monitoring student activities, providing assistance when needed, and acting as a visible presence within the school premises. Key Responsibilities: 1. Supervise students during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being. 2. Manage the release of the late buses as appropriate. 3. Ensure students are out of the building following athletic games. 4. Maintain order and discipline among students by enforcing school rules and policies. 5. Act as a visible presence within the school premises, regularly patrolling designated areas to monitor student activities. 6. Collaborate with school staff, including teachers, coaches, and administrators, to address any concerns or issues that may arise. 7. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and fellow staff members regarding any incidents or noteworthy observations. 8. Respond promptly to any emergencies or medical situations that may occur during after-school hours. 9. Maintain accurate records of student attendance and behavior incidents. 10. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions as required. Qualifications: · High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred. · Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a school or recreational setting is highly desirable. · Strong interpersonal and communication skills. · Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations. · Reliable and responsible, with a commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of students. · Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. · Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. · Must pass a criminal background check and any other required screenings.
