Missouri Metal Recycling is seeking a highly motivated and organized candidate for our Accountant/Payroll/HR Specialist. This candidate provides support to the Administrative Team, including the General Manager. Assistant managers and Office Staff. Generally, the bookkeeper is responsible for recording and maintaining financial records, daily and monthly inventory spread sheets and general office administrative duties.
Duties Responsibilities
Maintaining records according to generally accepted accounting principals, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, human resources, payroll etc..
Accounts payable:
Monitoring purchase orders and invoices, coding invoices with proper general ledger info, obtaining approval for payment.
Checking invoices and ensuring bills are paid in timely manner
Account Receivable:
Billing Customers for goods or services, Preparing and sending invoices to customer. Ensuring invoices are entered into proper accounts in the accounting system.
Payroll, Time Sheets and Employee reimbursements:
Collecting employee time sheets and entering them into the payroll accounting system.
Preparing payroll and sending information to an outside payroll processing service, collecting, monitoring and reconciling paid time-off, processing employee expense reports.
Clerical:
Performs own clerical duties, such as maintaining paper and electronic files, filing and archiving records.
Composing and preparing correspondence that is sometime confidential.
Contracting and maintaining relationships with customers and vendors through phone, fax , email and letters.
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:
- High School Diploma required, college degree preferred, and previous similar position experience
- Must possess a professional, charismatic, and customer service focused attitude
- Standard MS Office software usage (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Ability to work in a face paced environment, managing multiple priorities
- Ability to perform accurate data entry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized
- Candidate must pass a per-employment background, and credit check
- Available to fulfill flexible scheduling requirements as determined by the manager and /or business needs of the operation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
