Only one position will be filled depending on the qualifications of the final candidate.
- Provides professional medical support services under the direction of a licensed physician providing patient care in outpatient clinic or inpatient clinic settings
- Performs assignments and responsibilities of varying degree of complexity, diversity, and visibility, serving as a lead on these assignments and responsibilities
- Applies perspectives based on experience and that impact outcomes for patients and the University as a whole
- Understands the impact of external factors on own work and function
- Conducts comprehensive health assessments and demonstrates a high level of autonomy and skill in the diagnosis and treatment of actual and potential health problem
- Solves highly complex problems and analyses, taking a new perspective on existing solutions
- Exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information, determining gaps, providing recommendations, etc.
- May lead medium/large projects with manageable risks and resources requirements
- Impacts a range of customers, operational, project or service activities within own team or related teams both inside and outside the function/department
- Effectively explains difficult or sensitive information and works to build consensus
- Regularly collaborates with others inside and outside functional area
- Bachelor's degree in related/relevant area and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
- Applicants must meet one of the certification/license requirements below:
- Graduation from an AMA accredited physician assistant program, including national certification as a physician assistant by the NCCPA
- Possession of a current Missouri license to practice as a licensed physician assistant or eligible to be licensed
OR
- Preparation as a nurse practitioner in either a master's program or a certified program
- Licensure as advanced practice and registered nurse in the state of Missouri is required
- Certification as a nurse practitioner is required
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $32.78 to $57.72 Hourly.
Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
