DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS, Office of the Vice President for Finance (VPF), to direct and provide leadership for all VPF communications and marketing efforts. Will set and implement communications strategy, operations, and priorities; manage financial communications; work with various stakeholders to execute clear and robust financial presentations; produce print and electronic communications for internal and external audiences; execute the needs of the leadership team effectively; direct the evolution of the VPF website and enterprise-wide newsletter; quickly learn new concepts; and develop communications for the MIT community about Institute-wide financial systems/processes/policies and their impact on the community.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree in a related field; ten years’ communications experience; excellent organizational, customer service, and oral and written communication skills; expert-level knowledge of/experience with electronic and print publishing, website development tools, email and survey tools, and Microsoft Office software; advanced-level Excel and PowerPoint skills for converting financial data and concepts into professional quality presentations; expert-level understanding of website design and management; knowledge of design, layout, and database management software; experience with Drupal or other web content management system; tact and diplomacy with sensitive matters; and adaptability, flexibility, and ability to reprioritize workload as necessary. Must be able to advise, influence, negotiate, present, and mediate with staff at all levels; manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal guidance in a deadline-driven environment; analyze and concisely synthesize information and make recommendations to resolve issues; and work independently and as part of a team with a variety of individuals within VPF and across MIT.
