Title: Bilingual Manager - Finance, Planning & Accounting
Location: Onsite within the Southern Region
Description
The Manager of Finance, Planning & Accounting will provide technical accounting expertise to ensure compliance with IFRS and internal financial policies. This role involves overseeing accounting functions, managing month- and quarter-end close processes, and contributing to strategic financial planning in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain project accounting systems to ensure accurate cost accounting and compliance with US GAAP.
Monitor activities of accounting standard-setting bodies and assess the impact of proposed and adopted standards.
Collaborate with corporate accounting to resolve technical issues and prepare reports and filings.
Oversee general accounting functions, including month- and quarter-end close processes across multiple states.
Provide guidance on cash flow tasks and review cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with and implementation of new US GAAP accounting standards, including revenue recognition and leases.
Support audits by preparing documentation and participating in the process.
Update and gather feedback on finance and accounting policies across the organization.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
CPA certification strongly preferred.
4 years of progressive accounting experience, with a mix of private and public accounting experience preferred.
Proficiency in accounting systems and strong technical accounting knowledge.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Proven leadership and management abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Skills
Enthusiasm for dynamic environments and ability to manage change.
Experience developing internal processes to improve efficiency.
Physical Demands
Frequent communication and use of hands and fingers for handling tasks.
Occasional standing, walking, and reaching, with the ability to perform light physical activities.
Vision requirements include close vision for detailed tasks.
Work Environment
Exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels in the work area.
