Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location: Newark,NJ
Employment Type: Contract, 4 weekend shifts (Sat/Sun)
Compensation
Pay Range:$49.00-$70.00/Hrs
Description
Manage approximately 225 births per month in a 21-bed unit.
Provide care with a patient ratio of 1:1-3 for labor and delivery, depending on acuity and phase of labor.
Float to high-risk antepartum/postpartum units as needed.
Monitor high-risk antepartum patients in ICU/ED/tele units requiring fetal monitoring.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Utilize electronic charting systems for documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Circulate during C-sections.
Perform OB assessments and fetal monitoring.
Adapt to floating requirements based on skill set and hospital needs.
Complete necessary modules and training.
Adhere to agreed-upon schedules and compliance policies.
Qualifications
2 years of experience required.
AWHONN Intermediate or NCC C-EFM certification required (can be acquired prior to start date).
Active NJ or Compact license required at time of submission.
Ability to float within skill set without exceptions.
Complete necessary labs within 48 hours of signing.
