Title: Sociotherapist
Location: Northeastern Region
Description
The Sociotherapist will work within the Enhanced Family Foster Care program, supporting foster youth and foster parents in achieving case goals. This role involves providing counseling, behavior modification training, and crisis intervention services while ensuring placements remain stable. The Sociotherapist will conduct regular home visits, facilitate communication between youth and foster parents, and participate in treatment planning to promote permanency outcomes.
Responsibilities
Provide behavior modification training and supportive counseling to foster parents caring for youth with special needs.
Conduct weekly home visits to assess progress, provide support, and ensure stability in placements.
Participate in treatment team conferences, family team meetings, and planning sessions for youth needs and services.
Facilitate and support youth in achieving their permanency goals.
Monitor and assist with family visits and transportation needs for youth.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes and other written materials.
Provide crisis intervention services and support during emergencies.
Share rotating 24-hour on-call responsibilities.
Participate in supervision, training sessions, and team meetings.
Complete program documentation, recertification, and required reporting.
Perform other duties as necessary for program success.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field.
Valid driver’s license.
Demonstrated experience working effectively with youth, teens, or individuals with special needs.
Knowledge of foster care and adoption processes.
Strong oral, written, and organizational skills.
Basic computer literacy.
Desired Skills
Experience working in team-based environments.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus.
