PURPOSE: This position is responsible for ensuring the health of Monarch’s websites, with occasional guidance from the National Marketing Director. They advise on SEO best practices, direct SEO strategies both on and off page, and complete various analysis projects to keep the website informative, easily available, and primed for driving traffic from the appropriate audiences. The SEO Analyst can independently recognize opportunities for improvement, quickly understand and proactively support initiatives contributing to the goals and success of Monarch’s Marketing Team.

RESPONSIBLITILIES:

• Direct the execution of strategies for content development in coordination with SEO goals – general and keyword specific
• Manage day-to-day search marketing activities across multiple platforms (including monitoring results and performance)
• Perform keyword research, audits, and detailed technical and competitive analysis to optimize existing content, search campaigns, and uncover new SEO/marketing opportunities
• Implement and administer search engine programs (XML sitemaps, shopping feeds, webmaster tools)
• Create, propose, develop, and implement link-building campaigns
• Perform back link analysis, opportunity identification, solicitation, and optimization
• Partner with Google Analytics Specialist to understand web analytics data in order to develop and recommend SEO strategies as changes occur and new insights arise
• Research, recommend, and administer social media tools in support of Monarchs’ social media strategy
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by keeping pace with SEO, search engine, social media, and internet marketing industry trends and changes
• Work closely with the other Marketing team members to meet Monarch Marketing department goals

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field
• SEO certification
• 1-3 years of job or internship experience in Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
• Demonstrable proficiency in: MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, Ahrefs, and SEMrush handling and understanding of HTML/CSS and website administration, applying acceptable vs. unacceptable ranking techniques per Google’s Webmaster Guidelines, wielding popular keyword tools (Google, WordTracker, Keyword Discovery, etc.)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects
• Exceptional level of responsiveness and attentiveness to work tasks and to supporting team initiatives
• Experience in the multifamily industry preferred
