Located on a 36-acre museum site, it includes a 120,000-square-foot-facility, the state-of-the-art Taylor Planetarium, the 220 seat Hager Auditorium, Martin Children’s Discovery Center, and Living History Farm, along with an off-site 553-acre paleontology preserve.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists and works closely with the Associate Director of Finance/Controller on month-end and year-end closing procedures, including bank and credit card reconciliations, and reconciliations with MSU Banner reports for various departments.
- Handles accounts payable processes, including reviewing invoices, processing payments, and preparing 1099s.
- Conducts revenue collection processes, including preparing daily deposits and reconciliations.
- Provides operational support as needed to the Director of Finance and Associate Director of Finance/Controller, including activities such as maintaining equipment lists and working with MSU offices, including the Office of Sponsored Programs, Fiscal Shared Services, Human Resources, and University Information Technology.
- Participates in and handles other finance, accounting, human resources, and administrative duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
- 1-3 years of accounting experience or accounting or bookkeeping education.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Software including Word and Excel
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
- Demonstrated experience using Blackbaud/Financial Edge
- Demonstrated experience with accounts payable
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business-Related Field
