What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Assistant position at Moraine Valley Community College?
Under the direction of the Director of Payroll, performs a variety of standardized procedures relating to the payroll function, following established procedures. The Payroll Assistant is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and lifelong learning.
Education/Experience
Associate’s Degree and minimum three years related experience and/or specialized accounting training required. Microsoft Office, Excel and Word required. Payroll experience preferred.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The Payroll Assistant must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos; ability to write correspondence; good oral communication skills and effective interpersonal skills; knowledge of basic accounting principles; ability to work independently and exercise good judgement; good organizational skills; good attention to detail; plus other duties as assigned.
