Medical Services Coordinator – Long Term Group Home

Job Summary:
The Medical Services Coordinator is responsible for a variety of skilled administrative and client health services depending on program needs. Includes, medication administration, client health records and appointments, and other client health and administrative responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with other staff and service providers to assure provision of health services for clients. Schedules initial medical appointments
- Provides medication administration including medication ordering/refilling and review of Medication Administration Records (MARs). Purchases medically-related supplies for the program as needed. Involved in Medication Administration training process. Conducts regular reviews of MARs for compliance
- Utilizes the ORR electronic health records module to enter and upload all required medical information within required timeframes. Handles insurance pre-approvals for medical services. Complete insurance, discharge, and other medically-related paperwork. Completes the Serious Medical Procedure paperwork
ABOUT THE PROGRAM: ORR Immigrant Youth Services - Long Term Group Home
Our Long-Term Group Home provides services to up 20 adolescents at one time (ages 14-17 years old) in a co-ed residential facility setting. The youth, typically from Latin America and occasionally other countries live in our Long-Term Group Home, while they await family reunification or other placement options. They attend public school and other community activities.
Education and Work Experience:
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required (Diploma, GED or college transcripts required step of hiring process)
- One year employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents in a social service setting.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish required.
Other Requirements:
- Must meet agency driving requirement
- Must pass criminal history background check
- Medication Administration training required within 60 days of employment and annually
- Complete and maintain required trainings (40 hours annually).
Starting Pay Rate:
Bilingual Medical Service Coordinator: $21.74-$23.13/hr

Residential ORR Programs through Federal Mandate must provide proof of immunity including the following vaccinations that are typically received in childhood: MMR, Varicella, and DTaP. There is also an annual Flu Vaccination requirement. Proof of compliance is required for employees at these sites, and masks are required while pending compliance.
