What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Teacher position at Mother Teresa Regional Catholic School?
Mother Teresa Regional is a Licensed Infant, Daycare and PreSchool Facility under the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide attentive supervision and nurturing care for children
- Provide for the needs of young children including diapering , feeding, interaction & play, stimulation through crafts, music, walks, time on the playground and directed educational activities/play. Creating and maintaining a clean and safe environment for these activities.
- Maintain detailed daily sheets for each child - inform parents when their child is in need to additional materials/supplies - communicate with parents/families in a compassionate manner
- Weekly Lesson Plans submitted, following PA Standards
- Maintain confidentiality of students, families, staff in both verbal, non-verbal, and written interaction
- Attend school safety training
- Follow all security rules and processes to ensure a safe environment for children and staff
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to be a integral part of our dynamic team by being flexible and supporting fellow staff members, when needed/as directed
- An interest and passion for working with young children - enthusiastic and energetic
- Requires CPR, AED, Security, and First Aid certification (we will provide training if needed)
- Must have documented experience caring for and supervising children.
- Must be able to attain FBI clearance, PA Criminal background check, PA Child Abuse Clearance, National Sex Offenders Registry Clearance.
