What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fraud Analyst position at Motion Recruitment?
Our client, a leader in financial software is hiring a Fraud Analyst to join their team in Plano, TX!
**This is a 6-month W2 contract with benefits and paid holidays**
As the Fraud Analyst, you will be evaluating the financial stability of small businesses to stay one step ahead of financial losses, identifying fraud risk using key data indicators and investigation, while protecting and minimizing the impact for our customers.
Work Schedule: TUE - SAT (Saturday 7am - 3:30pm) – Tuesday and Thursday onsite
Responsibilities:
- Applies defined procedures to independently investigate, analyze, and resolve queued fraud and financial risk issues.
- Makes outbound calls to customers to validate payment transactions.
- Writes complete, succinct, and accurate case notes.
- Reviews other risk agents’ work to either approve or provide feedback.
- Provides empathetic, accurate, and efficient resolutions to the most complex and escalated customers.
- Handles questions or escalations on suspected fraud from other business units.
Desired Skills
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Bachelor's degree in (Business, Finance, or Economics preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Must be able to work overtime as well as Saturdays and most holidays.
- Experience in risk mitigation within the payments industry (3-5 years preferred) with the ability to identify the behaviors and signs of risky financial transactions or accounts.
- Knowledge of fraud behaviors, financial risk, and credit card disputes to understand potential Merchant risk behavior.
