Facilities Technician 1

About the Position:
The Facilities Technician 2 position is responsible for ensuring continual optimal operations of facilities at Mountainside (i.e., physical plant, program flow, and overall environment) while maintaining a professional and solution focused attitude.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with a possible transition to Tuesday through Saturday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. after successful completion of onboarding and acclimation to Mountainside facilities and procedures.
Your Role:
- Provide support with any onsite construction improvements such as but no limited to; plumbing, electrical, painting, cleaning, masonry, & carpentry.
- Ability to maintain mechanical assets on Campus such as; Furnace, Boilers, Kitchen assets, Grounds equipment and any other Mountainside assets.
- Support Grounds department when deemed appropriate and needed; i.e. Snow Removal.
- Utilizes project management skills for any Mountainside initiative.
- Analyze and resolve projects that require assistance to ensure completion of projects.
- Initiate or suggest plans to ensure efficiency of projects.
- Accept tasks generated by our ServiceNow work order system, complete repairs, and close out work order as appropriate.
- Must keep all tools, equipment, supplies, and assets clean and organized.
- Comply with all workplace safety protocols including wearing appropriate safety gear and utilizing equipment for intended purposes.
- Comply with all federal, state and accreditation regulatory requirements.

- Comply with Mountainside procedures, policies and regulations relevant to assigned role.
- Undertake relevant training on Mountainside’s policies and procedures as delivered by management, Human Resources or other departments.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as individually notified, either through assigned objectives or as directed by management.
Qualifications:
- Valid drivers license
- High School Diploma or Equivalent - Required
- 3-5 years experience in facilities maintenance - Preferred
Compensation:
The base rate of pay for this position is $20.00 to $28.00 per hour. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
