As The Member Relations Director You Get To
- Player/Coach role. Achieve new member acquisition, non-dues revenue, and retention targets for assigned members. Lead, develop, and motivate the Ohio Member Relations team. Conduct and observe Member and Prospect meetings. (80%)
- Administer quarterly team reviews at a minimum to monitor all aspects of sales performance. Develop and implement sales forecasts, plans, and training to meet or exceed NI Member Relations team goals. (5%)
- Engage in community networking, HR events, trade shows, chamber events, etc. (10%)
- Recommend new programs and partnering opportunities from contacts. Identify and communicate business trends in the marketplace - internal and external. (5%)
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, human resources, or equivalent professional management experience working with multiple industry sectors.
- Training or Experience: 15 years of professional experience including demonstrated Member Relations success, preferably in the service, not-for-profit, or association management industry; established business relationships in the region; exceptional communication and presentation skills; proven leadership qualities, effective management (people and financial) experience. Specialized higher-level training in human resources, business, or financial curriculums is preferred.
- Licenses/Certificates: Valid driver's license in good. Pursuing continuing education /certifications is a plus.
- Other special requirements necessary to do the job:
- Three days per week minimum in an OH office with the MR team, prioritizing member visits and team observations at member meetings.
- The ability to travel. Access to own transportation. Overnight travel is required as necessary and planned with the direct supervisor.
- Extensive leadership and management experience.
- Knowledge of association management
- Experience in the professional / consulting services industry
- Confident and engaging professional presence with public speaking capabilities.
- Exceptional service delivery standards
- Project management and problem-resolution abilities
- Knowledge of emerging trends in business, human resources, and the region and the ability to expeditiously translate that knowledge into effective programs and
- Competent PC skills in Microsoft Office products and Salesforce.
