Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams in the completion of large, complex, and/or global projects (manager) or smaller, derivative, and/or local projects (specialist)
- Apply project management fundamentals in the development and management of detailed project deliverables including requirements, schedules, budgets
- Monitor and measure project performance and apply corrective actions as needed to maintain project objectives
- Effectively report and present (verbal and written) to various audiences, both internal and external, technical and non-technical
- Lead the project team in timely decision making in order to meet goals or mitigate risks
- Show the ability to lead various efforts concurrently and self-manage priorities and time
- Exhibit a growth mindset, identify improvement opportunities (product or process), implement, and measure effectiveness
- Build and leverage cross functional relationships required to effectively develop and launch products/solutions
- Embrace the culture and lead with integrity, embrace diversity, and with a customer focus
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline, preferably from an ABET accredited program
- Experience in a prior project management or engineering leadership role
- Strong understanding of project management fundamentals
- Experience using project management tools such as MS Project, Power BI, Atlassian, SAP, Miro, etc.
- Experience working within a new product development framework
- Familiarity with the appropriate utilization of DFSS methods
- Proven track record of successfully launching products and services on time, within budget
- Exhibiting leadership skills required to bridge functions of engineering, marketing, manufacturing, quality, test engineering, verification, etc
- Strong communication skills supporting effective navigation and work within a global organization
Local, national, and potentially international travel (up to 15%) may be required
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
- Familiarity and experience leading teams in both waterfall and agile methodologies
- Experience leading teams in electro mechanical device development
- Familiarity with connectivity (both hardware and software) methods utilized in industrial environments
- Development experience within heavily regulated global environments
Qualifications Note:
- This position is available at two different career levels based upon experience, education, etc
- Sr. Staff Engineering Project Specialist - minimum 5 years of project management / engineering experience
- Engineering Project Manager I - minimum 7 years of project management / engineering experience
- Master's degree may be substituted for up to 2 years of relevant experience
