Join our team as a Substitute Karate Instructor, where you'll support our Head Sensei in delivering top-quality instruction, guiding students toward belt advancement, and preparing them for tournaments. You'll also have the opportunity to lead classes when needed and play a vital role in fostering a safe, disciplined, and motivating environment for our members.

What You'll Do
- Assist the Head Sensei in teaching Karate classes to students ranging from juniors and beginners to advanced levels.
- Lead classes independently when the Head Sensei is unavailable.
- Prepare students for belt testing and competition, including knowledge of tournament rules and formats.
- Promote and model the club’s code of conduct and commitment to exceptional member service.
- Ensure a safe training environment by following and enforcing all safety procedures.
- Report any unsafe conditions, injuries, or incidents promptly to the appropriate supervisor.
- Participate in ongoing club training sessions and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
- Maintain consistent attendance and professional communication with staff, students, and members.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching Karate.
- A solid understanding of martial arts tournament rules and student advancement criteria.
- The physical ability to actively participate in classes and handle equipment like mats and training gear.
- A passion for martial arts and a commitment to helping students grow in skill, confidence, and discipline.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a courteous, professional approach to working with members of all ages.
- A team-oriented mindset and a willingness to assist with other club responsibilities as needed.
