What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping clerk position at Munters?
We are looking for an organized shipping clerk to handle all the service order shipments – including ordered and fabricated parts to pack list specifications. The shipping clerk is also responsible for tracking shipments.
When needed this person will assist the shipping coordinator in the responsibilities for arranging over dimensional and other contract-based shipments based on production schedule and customer demands. The shipping clerk is also responsible for tracking shipments.
Also, when required this employee will need to assist in arranging inbound freight from Munter’s vendors.
To be successful as a shipping clerk, one must have a solid understanding and working knowledge of parcel, LTL, TL, and international shipping practices. Excellent attention to detail. A great shipping clerk can successfully multitask several tasks at once. The shipping clerk should be able to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain operations. They should be able to assist in the prompt resolution of any issues and have strong negation skills. Excellent communication skill is a must.

- Create all required shipping documents for all outbound loads (BOLs, pack list, NAFTA/USMCA, Commercial Invoices, etc.)
- Promptly ship all service orders, following the process until completion.
- Package all outgoing service orders properly (banding, wrapping, shrink wrapping, crating, etc.)
- Handle all return shipments and documentation.
- Communicate all shipment tracking and follow up with the appropriate personal.
- Resolve/report any issues during transit.
- Prepare shipping quotes for service personal and/or customers.
- Handle all freight claims until resolved.
- Negotiate shipping fees with couriers.
- Prepare reports for management.
- Keep a meticulous record of shipment information.
- Computer literacy skills.

- Review freight invoices for billing accuracy and approval.
