Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a MHC Credit Analyst. The MHC Credit Analyst is responsible for providing credit risk analysis and assisting MHC Truck Leasing and assigned MHC dealerships with risk appropriate business unit growth while providing world class customer service.
- Completes credit limit requests with comprehensive supporting analysis in a timely manner and submits recommendations to MHC Credit Manager for approval. Manages the process to address all questions and requests for additional information in an expedited manner. Responsible for the continual review of the credit underwriting guidelines and requests changes when appropriate.
- Provides analytical management reporting to facilitate regular reviews of customer credit limits and makes recommendations for adjustments by evaluating customer activity, forecasting potential profit growth, reviewing payment history, and analyzing risk.
- Monitors credit risk and requests updated financial statements from key customers, particularly higher-risk accounts. Contacts customers directly when necessary to facilitate getting additional information and electronic payments to minimize MHC risk.
- Manages MHC overall credit applications/process, business system support, and credit analysis/research tools, including fully utilizing current services and providing subject matter expertise on credit trends, potential new tools, and other risk management support.
- Reviews various credit reports, public information on customers, and industry specific information related to a customer or prospective customer. Updates industry/economic trends and communicates this information regularly to MHC Credit Manager and business unit leaders.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- Requires excellent customer service, analytical, leadership, problem solving, organization, negotiating, and communication skills.
- Accounting or Finance degree and formal credit training with experience as credit analyst, accountant, or financial analyst preferred.
- Requires strong analytical and credit underwriting skills from experience with different industries.
- Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook) expertise required, database query, business intelligence tools, and AS400 computer skills strongly preferred.
- Drive to learn quickly and constantly adapt to new challenges.
- Ability to work with individuals across all levels of the organization.
