Title : Contract Manager Technology Procurement

Location : Vienna, VA HQ (Hybrid, 2 days/week onsite) or Fully Remote (for exceptional candidates)

Duration : 6-month Contract to Hire

Client is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to support its Procurement team in managing the full lifecycle of commercial contracts-particularly in the areas of software licensing, IT infrastructure, and cloud services.

This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in financial services or banking environments who can bring strategic insight, negotiation expertise, and a sharp analytical lens to contract management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee contract development, negotiation, and execution for technology-related products and services.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and legal standards.
• Draft, review, and manage contracts in Vendoor (contract lifecycle management system)
• Lead negotiations and contract modifications with internal stakeholders and vendors
• Analyze contract terms, assess risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with legal, procurement, and business units to align contract terms with business goals.
• Maintain accurate contract records and documentation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries and resolutions.

Required Qualifications:

• 5 10 years of experience in IT contracting, with a focus on software licensing and IT infrastructure (including mainframe)
• Strong background in banking, credit union, or commercial/financial services environments
• Expertise in contract negotiation, risk assessment, and compliance
• Proficiency with contract lifecycle management tools (e.g., Vendoor)
• Strong business acumen and stakeholder influence skills
• Ability to quickly interpret management intent and execute with urgency
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SaaS and cloud services contracts
• Legal or paralegal background is a plus
