What are the responsibilities and job description for the Application Developer position at Nahan Printing, Inc.?
We are looking for a .NET developer to build software using languages and technologies of the .NET framework. You will create applications from scratch, configure existing systems and provide user support. In this role, you should be able to write functional code with a sharp eye for spotting defects. You should be a team player and excellent communicator. If you are also passionate about the .NET framework and software design/architecture, we’d like to meet you. Your goal will be to work with internal teams to design, develop and maintain software.
Education and/or Experience:
1. Degree in computer programing or related field and/or work experience.
2. Two Years’ experience with experience in developing full stack applications using Microsoft .Net technologies.
3. Two Years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Database Application
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
1. Develop, maintain and support .NET web, server & client workstation-based applications.
2. Manage Tasks for the entire software product life cycle.
3. Develop and support database-based applications for various systems.
4. Research and develop new systems & software technologies to improve workflow efficiencies.
5. Support existing and develop new reporting and report delivery systems.
6. Monitor systems and usage for system workload, training needs, backups, and various logs.
7. Develop integration solutions for ERP and related systems.
8. Coordinate support from 3 party vendors for ERP-related systems when necessary.
9. Establish & follow application development standards and procedures.
10. Perform maintenance on all related database systems as scheduled, and as necessary (including setting up regular maintenance windows where appropriate).
11. Maintain and monitor database system status to ensure peak system performance and readiness.
12. Suggesting solutions and collaborating with individuals on defining specifications for application development projects.
13. Document Work Orders and procedures.
14. Provide support/backup for other IT team members as requested by Director of IT.
15. Participate in cross training activities within the IT department.
16. Complete other tasks as requested by Leader(s).
Skills and/or Knowledge include the following:
1. Extensive knowledge of application development, databases including .NET development, C#, MS SQL, Visual Studio, Web Services, TFS, Report Writing SSRS, Crystal.
2. Procedures, views, jobs, structure, and design preferred.
3. Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects at one time.
4. Ability to organize and maintain project request and documentation process.
5. Knowledge in web development including.NET frameworks within Visual Studio.
6. Knowledge in DevExpress, RedGate, 3 party API Integration experience preferred.
7. Strong communications skills (written, verbal and listening).
8. High degree of attention to detail.
9. Ability to work well with others.
10. Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently status of projects and new opportunities in technology.
11. Flexible in schedule to meet internal/external customer needs. Flexible in schedule to accommodate 24/7 operation including on-call assignments
