Delivery/ Route Driver
Responsibilities: The following section contains the primary responsibilities for this position. Job holder is responsible for performing any other duties as assigned by management.
- Accurately checks, verifies, stocks, and pulls inventory to meet store and customer orders.
- Maintain a professional appearance as you will have direct customer contact.
- Deliver parts to assigned accounts in a timely manner
- Performs daily inspections of appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including but not limited to: delivery vehicle, pallet jack and hand truck, scanners, printers, tablets and ladders.
- Operates warehouse machinery in accordance with established safety procedures as needed to maintain the warehouse stock.
- Completes required trainings and certifications as instructed.
- Stays abreast of and complies with hazardous material regulations and procedures.
- Assists in maintaining a clean, organized warehouse environment at all times.
- Comply with all applicable laws / regulations, as well as company policies / procedures.
- Actively participates in all safety initiatives.
- Utilize and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required or as needed.
- Communicate effectively across all departments as needed.
- Maintain and contribute to a safe, positive working environment.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Keep Vehicle Clean Inside and outside
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Experience, Education, and Abilities:
- Communicate effectively up through the chain of command.
- Work in a positive, productive, and professional manner.
- Requires completion of a high school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Previous experience in a distribution center and/or warehouse environment preferred.
- Must be able to read, understand written/verbal/audio instructions, and communicate (written and verbally) to other team members.
- Must be able to work both independently and in a Team environment.
- Ability to lift / carry by hand freight weighing up to 60 pounds several times a day.
- Able to push/pull up to 300 lbs. using mechanical aids, such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, barrel dollies, hydraulic lifts, etc.
- Ability to bend, twist, squat, climb, push and pull and move at an efficient pace, Company standards.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 16 per week
