Event Coordinator - Music City Center
Position will be responsible for coordinating and producing small, local, and/or short-term business including but not limited to meetings, banquets, special events and public functions. This position will also serve as a liaison between the client and the facility. Provides event coverage by assisting the Event Managers on larger, regional, or national meetings/events. Supervising and approving set ups for meetings, conferences, and banquets while providing guidance to the clients who are preparing for events by interpreting and explaining contract/handbook provisions, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Two plus years of experience as a Convention Center, Conference Center, or Hotel Event Coordinator or any combination of education and experience equivalent to these preferences
- Knowledge of coordination/service techniques for meetings, banquets, special events, and public functions & strong computer skills required
- Prior AutoCAD experience a plus
