The position
The Director of Software Engineering for Sustaining is an exciting leadership role at Nasuni. To lead Nasuni’s Sustaining Engineering team, you will have a background in Enterprise Software Development, Storge, and Enterprise Support. This team is a bridge between our Enterprise Customers and Product Engineering teams.
Due to company growth, we are expanding all Engineering teams at Nasuni and require additional Software Engineering Leadership for Sustaining. Your experience in capacity management, process improvement, and customer escalations will help guide the growth of this team. You are an organized, driven, and proactive leader. An exceptional communicator with frequent and clear communication to stakeholders.
The ideal candidate has a strong working knowledge in all functional areas of Engineering including software development, quality assurance, and customer escalations management.
This role reports to the Vice President of Engineering.
As the Director of Software Engineering – Sustaining, you will...
- Manage and grow a team of talented sustaining engineers.
- Oversee the team responsible for providing root cause analysis, issue resolution and customer escalation management.
- Drive results with clearly defined priorities, effective resource allocation, and communication of goals.
- Lead operational best practices by establishing standardized operations and support methods, procedures, and policies.
- Analyze performance and recommend alterations to existing escalation workflows, processes, and procedures.
- Analyze and gather metrics on product release deployment, incidents, and trends.
- Partner with internal stakeholders including Quality Assurance, Product Management, Customer Success in delivering superior customer satisfaction.
Required skills + experience we look for are…
- 15+ Years Software Engineering Leadership Experience
- Strong background leading high performance enterprise software development teams.
- Strong executive presence and presentation skills.
- Experience working with Professional Services, Customer Support, and Engineering teams
- Ability to guide enterprise customers during executive escalations when needed.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar work experience
- Master's in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Engineering preferred.
