Overview: National Design Mart, National Carpet Mill Outlet and National Granite Luxuries Account/Project Manager Assistants are responsible for finding maintaining current accounts while managing projects that are in production, primarily with local contractors. This is accomplished by assisting the project manager with data entry and processing paperwork in a timely and efficient manner. A strong belief in the company’s vision and the ability to execute its core values are necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a sales driven customer service environment.
- Demonstrated ability to increase sales and improve profitability.
- Previous knowledge and experience in the industry.
- Ability to participate effectively as a team member.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to recruit and obtain qualified flooring installers to join National’s team.
Responsibilities
- Sales Activities (90%)
Completes sales transactions; assists with take-offs and material lists; communicates schedule and delivery commitments; orders material; knows credit program; provides customer service; ensures customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge & Training (10%)
Identifies personal growth needs and improvement opportunities; seeks to obtain product information; learns and assists others in learning about Carter packages and products; implements processes to improve sales efficiencies; communicates with others.
Procedures Followed: Safety; phone; dress code; ticket; checkout; money handling; credit; mileage and expense reimbursement; special order; delivery; estimating; pricing; refund; filing; opening/closing; calling off; theft control; and others as needed or defined by management.
Physical Aspects
- Standing, walking, and/or driving for up to 4 hours consistently.
- Ability to move in, among, and through a variety of construction job sites.
- Occasional lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to working in a retail store environment.
Equipment Used
- Personal vehicle for traveling to various job sites
- Completes sales using computerized systems (RFMS).
- Performs numerical computations using an adding machine and/or calculator.
- Knows the functions of and uses a variety building industry related tools.
