What are the responsibilities and job description for the Postdoctoral Fellow position at national institutes of health?
A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Chongyi Chen at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NIH). The Chen lab studies chromatin structure, DNA topology, and gene expression regulation in human cells, by novel genomic technologies and single-cell sequencing assays newly invented in the lab.
The laboratory is located in the NIH main campus, together with >1000 labs, and >100 National Academy of Sciences/Medicine members. NIH postdocs have access to first-class research facilities, enjoy outstanding salary and benefits often better than their counterparts in universities. We are stably and sufficiently funded intramurally without the pressure of securing grants from time to time, thus have the privilege to focus on producing high-quality science.
We are looking for candidates with strong backgrounds in molecular and cell biology, genomics and bioinformatics, or related fields who are passionate and self-motivated in research. Candidates with prior experience in chromatin biology or single-cell sequencing are especially encouraged to apply.
Interested applicants should send a CV including a publication list and the contact information of references to Dr. Chongyi Chen.
