What are the responsibilities and job description for the Remote Temporary Funding Analyst position at National Mortgage Staffing?
SUMMARY
The Funding Analyst position is primarily responsible for the loan level review of required documents from pre-approved settlement agents, setting up and maintaining settlement agent profiles within the EllieMae Encompass360 database, forwarding new applications to Client Services for review, verifying wire instructions, and submitting agent information to warehouse affiliates for approval.
Must be able to work in Eastern Time Zone.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Verify that completed Settlement Agent Applications are required for funding each loan;
• Forward files received from Operations team to Client Services team for review once the
completed Settlement Agent Application is verified and received with supporting documents;
• Properly notate loan files with pending and completed tasks performed;
• Verify settlement agent’s wire instructions by phone;
• Set up new wire instructions from previously approved/vetted settlement agents in EllieMae
Encompass360 and submit them to warehouse banks for approval;
• Review funding documents such as Closing Protection Letters (CPL), wire instructions, errors &
omissions (E&O) and/or Fidelity Bond declaration pages;
• Post approved information in the database and loan file;
• Verify CPL’s and insurance coverage by phone, website or email;
• Verify and reactivate settlement agents who already exist in the database;
• Maintain settlement agent information and update information in the database when new
documents and statuses are received or processed during reactivation;
• Keep turnaround times to a reasonable minimum when responding to submissions to the Agent
Approval email inbox;
• Provide additional documents or assistance when needed by warehouse banks in processing the
approval of closing agents;
• Approve and suspend files received for settlement agent approval;
Hourly rate: $25 plus OT
