What are the responsibilities and job description for the TRANSPORT DRIVER position at Natsu Healthcare?
NAT-SU Healthcare is seeking a Transport Driver to join our team. Transport driver is a support staff position tasked with transporting clients and/or Tribal Members to and from medical and case management appointments. Transport Drivers conduct themselves in a professional manner, adhere to all traffic laws, and always ensure client safety. Transport Drivers coordinate with the Transport Lead and follow through on all assigned commitments and tasks.
Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transportation of clients and/or Tribal Members to appointments
- Daily inspection of vehicles for maintenance, safety, and upkeep needs
- Coordinates with Transport Lead for scheduled transports daily
- Communicates needs for any vehicle maintenance.
- Always conduct themselves in a professional and appropriate manner
- Logs miles driven and odometer readings with each trip.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Driving experience (5 years preferred)
- years of age
- Familiar with treatment and/or recovery process
- Knowledgeable in basic vehicle maintenance needs (fluid change reminders, wiper blades, lights, etc.)
- Valid and current Driver's License
- Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) minor discrepancies negotiable
- Good self and time management – able to follow through on driving schedule within time frame, or being able to communicate if help is needed.
- Able to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully.
- Able to set and maintain healthy boundaries with clients.
Additional Information:
- Must be vaccinated against COVID-19. You must have received your first dose of COVID-19 vaccination by your first day of employment, and for two-dose COVID-19 vaccines, you must receive your second dose within thirty days of your first day of employment.
- Annual flu vaccinations are also required.
Physical Requirements
To comply with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 the essential physical, mental, and environmental requirements. Candidate must be able to successfully perform all functions of their job with minimal supervision.
Work Hours
Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Sometimes hours may vary depending on transport needs and scheduled appointments.
