Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will lead and manage a large, complex technical organization to provide total life cycle support to Naval Aviation Weapons Systems utilizing a wide range of engineering, logistics, program management, and other related technical disciplines.
- You will exercise authority to oversee the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of programs relating to the integration and interface of systems/platforms to meet mission needs.
- You will approve and/or modify multi-year and long-range organizational resources regarding training, workload execution, and capabilities development expenditures developed by managers.
- You will establish support requirements through active participation in the DoD and Navy Planning, Programming, and Budget System (PPBS) process.
- You will serve as a liaison within aviation, technical, and industrial communities for in-service issues, military services, and external customers.
- You will oversee the development of cost analysis tradeoffs for varying degrees of capability to ensure requirements are balanced with affordability.
- You will negotiate conflicts between engineering, Research Development Test and Evaluation (RDTE), logistics, contractors, and program management.
- You will ensure technical engineering competence, logistics support, knowledge, and professional services required to sustain the weapon systems, associated components, and related support.
